The Artist Practice of Grant Wiggins.

The area of Grant Wiggins's practice that I have find most influential are his artworks based on the style/movement of minimalism (shown above). The way he combines contrasting colours and geometric shapes together is something that relates to my own exploration of painted abstraction, and his use of coloured, staggered lines is something that I have introduced after researching his work. I used this staggered line technique in my piece titled Turquoise Gradient on Pink (shown below), with the intention to use this aspect as a method of dissecting the canvas, and to influence the way the viewer experienced the piece; subtly guide their vision towards the turquoise triangle and the bottom.
