I have been trying to introduce the inclusion of depth and the style of simplicity conveyed in his two-panelled and relief paintings. For example in (Window,1949. Shown below in the first image) the multiple painted sections contrast one another to create the spatial depth of a foreground and background within the piece, and it's this what I've been particularly focused upon. Only using the colours black, white and grey within his representation of a gallery window in Paris from an experience, gave me the idea to do a range of monochromatic abstract pieces that visually related but offered viewers' a sense of depth that's greater than the two-dimensional surface/s used. (My four paintings shown below).
