Artist Research: Sol Le Witt - Wall Drawings.

I've been looking into the work and practice of Sol Le Witt as I can see a visual connection between his work and my own. The way in which he uses line and colour to transform an architectural space by using multiple points of perspectives is something I've been interested in for a while. This large scale approach to working is something I'm keen to introduce into my own studio practice as it progresses, so by looking at his work and videos of his working methods (youtube), it helps me visualise future outcomes.

This is a few of the videos that I have been watching and using to research a possible working method for developing my Vinyl Tape pieces: -

Sol Le Witt at the Met—"Wall Drawing #370" Installation: Days 4-6.

Sol Le Witt at the Met—Wall Drawing #370 Installation: Days 11-14

Sol Le Witt at the Met—"Wall Drawing #370" Installation: Days 15-17

Since writing and creating this blog post, I have been and visited the Sol Le Witt piece which is being installed in the YouTube videos (links above). Therefore further primary images can be found in my more recent blog post about my Visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY.
